Description

Nasu Animal Kingdom, spread across a vast 43-hectare site in the Nasu Highlands, is home to approximately 600 animals and birds, ranging from friendly, approachable animals to adorable cats and dogs.

Unlike a typical zoo, Nasu Animal Kingdom is designed not only for viewing and observation, but also for enjoying close, hands-on interactions with the animals. Visitors can feed animals such as penguins, play with cats and dogs, and in winter, even watch capybaras relaxing in open-air hot spring baths filled with natural spring water.

In addition, a variety of performances are held daily. One highlight is the lively cat performance, where agile cats skillfully navigate obstacle courses.
