Important Information

• This activity is available to guests aged between 3–65 years old. A minimum of 2 participants is required for us to accept your booking
• Guests who are pregnant may not participate
• Please arrive 30 minutes at the meeting place before the tour start time
• This activity may be canceled depending on the weather and reservoir conditions; we will contact you to refund or reschedule if this is the case. Additionally, this activity may be canceled midway due to sudden weather changes. However, refunds are not possible if the activity is canceled more than 1 hour after it started
• You may choose either a single or tandem canoe (you will be asked your preference upon checkout). However, for odd-numbered groups who choose tandem canoes, one person will be assigned a single canoe
• Single canoes are ideal for guests who are at least 120cm tall
• Tandem canoes can fit 3 people in the following cases: two adults and one child aged 3–5, or one adult and two children aged 3–5
• In order to process your booking, we will ask you to provide the full names, ages, and addresses of all guests in your group once your booking is confirmed. This information will be shared with the management of the reservoir
• You may leave your luggage with us at the reception counter for free
• Please understand that in booking this activity, we may share your booking information (but without individually identifiable data) to the Ministry of the Environment, with which this activity is affiliated. By making a booking, you signify that you agree to these terms

• During regular season (April 13–July 31 and September 2–November 17), 2 time slots are available for this activity: 10:00–12:00 and 13:00–15:00
• From August 1–September 1 (peak season), 3 time slots are available for this activity: 10:00–11:45, 12:00–13:45, and 14:00–15:45

Description

Spend the day canoeing around Itamuro Reservoir and admire the picturesque landscape of the area! Paddle along the placid waters and be charmed by the beauty of nature around you.

Located along the base of Mount Nasu and in the upper stream of Nakagawa River, Itamuro Reservoir’s calm waters are easy to navigate and are suitable for beginners and visitors of all ages. A guide will also assist you throughout the entire experience.

Appreciate the dynamic colors of the forest and feel relaxed from the soothing scenery.

Whether you want to canoe by yourself or in tandem — experience it here as you like.

After your trip, head to the nearby Itamuro Onsen and soak in their famed medicinal bath (shimotsuke) for the perfect end to a fun day out. You can also try their unique standing bath (tachiyu) and rejuvenate your energy.
