  How to Receive Your JR Pass

  1: Choose the date you intend to redeem the JR Pass and book; a lead guest may book on behalf of a group, but note that all guests must hold non-Japanese passports and have Temporary Visitor status.

  2: Receive your QR code e-voucher with your confirmation email. If your requested date is more than 90 days in the future, we will wait to issue the e-voucher closer to your requested date.

  3: Present your QR code e-voucher, printed or displayed on your smartphone, at any valid exchange office to redeem your physical pass. All guests must also present their passport for verification during redemption. If you have a passport with an IC chip you can also exchange your e-voucher at a ticket vending machine marked with the passport symbol. You can redeem it up to 90 days from the issue date of your e-voucher. Main exchange offices are at Kansai International Airport and Kyoto, Osaka, Shin-Osaka, Hakata, and Hiroshima stations.   How to Use Your JR Pass

  1: Your JR pass can be used for 7 consecutive days and must be redeemed within 90 days from when the e-voucher is issued

  2: The usage period must be within one month of exchanging your e-voucher for the physical pass

  3: You need to specify the date that you want to start using the pass at the exchange office

  When you first use the Pass, enter a ticket gate where there is an attendant available and receive a stamp in the designated column
• Use your pass on:

— The Sanyo Shinkansen between Shin-Osaka and Hakata

— JR limited express, special rapid, rapid, and local train services in the coverage area (reserved or non-reserved ordinary seats)

— The Chizu Express, JR-West Miyajima Ferry, West JR Bus, and Chugoku JR Bus within the coverage area

• Not valid on:

— Tokaido Shinkansen

— Kyushu Shinkansen

— The special rapid "A Seat" paid seating service

— Conventional lines within Kyushu

— Expressway buses

— Carriages or trains requiring numbered or 'liner' tickets (additional fees apply)
