Description

This 15,000-tsubo garden boasts approximately 2,500 varieties of flower throughout the season. Visitors can see a wide variety of flowers each season, from tulips and Christmas roses in spring to delphiniums and rudbeckia in early summer.

The Water Lily Pond is home to more than 200 kinds of clematis collections and pink water lilies. Within the Murasaki Bamboo Garden, there is also a "palette flower bed," the only formal garden made of annuals, a herb garden, and miscellaneous Hokkaido trees such as Japanese white birch (Betula platyphylla) and Japanese holly (Houonoki).

In the Shichiku Garden, plants are grown completely without pesticides. We do not disinfect the plants and have not watered them for the past eight years, but the flowers are growing well.

The garden is surrounded by wheat fields and potato fields as far as the eye can see. The garden also offers a vast view of Hokkaido, with the Tokachi Plain and the peaks of the Hidaka Mountains in the distance.

We invite you to take a leisurely stroll through the Shichiku Garden and enjoy the spaciousness and openness that only Hokkaido can offer.
