Description
Cosmo Clock 21 is one of the world's largest Ferris wheels equipped with a clock, standing 112.5 meters high and seating up to 480 people, and is the face of Yokohama.
It is located in Yokohama Cosmo World, a multi-level urban amusement park in Minatomirai, Yokohama.
It was originally one of the exhibits at the 1989 Yokohama Expo, but after the expo was over, it was decided to keep it as well as the Giant Ferris Wheel “Cosmo Clock 21,” and in 1999 it was relocated and renovated to its current form.
Since its opening, Yokohama Cosmo World has been loved by many visitors as an amusement park in the city, along with Cosmo Clock 21.
The Ferris wheel ride takes 15 minutes and provides a magnificent 360-degree view of the city.
Especially at night, the brightly illuminated buildings look like jewels, and the illumination show of Cosmo Clock 21 that takes place every 15 minutes is also wonderful!
