Precautions: [Please be punctual] Due to seating arrangements, reservations will be cancelled if you are more than 5 minutes late. Kyoto's public transportation is very crowded, so please be sure to arrive on time. [Regarding the size and shape of your work] At the beginning of the experience, our staff will ask you about the size and shape of the vessel you would like to make. Since the experience time is limited, it would be helpful if you could decide in advance.

Notices: The workshop takes approximately 25 minutes (20 minutes for the experience, plus 5 minutes for writing your address and choosing a color). Each participant can create one item, such as a teacup, teacup, matcha bowl, trinket box, or ashtray. Choose from five colors: white, lemon, candy, turquoise, and bronze. Turquoise and bronze glazes tend to absorb the odors of coffee and tea, so we recommend using them for items other than mugs. Your completed piece will usually be delivered to you in approximately one and a half to two months.

Description

An electric potter's wheel experience where you concentrate on shaping the spinning clay. Even a slight distortion can cause the shape to collapse, so it's not something you can do quickly or easily. We will provide you with the maximum support, so even beginners can feel free to try pottery. The sense of accomplishment you feel when you finish is wonderful. [Experience flow] ① When the reservation time comes, enter the store and leave your luggage. ② When you sit down, fill in the address of the destination to which the finished product will be sent. ③ Before the experience, please tell the staff "the shape and size of the vessel you want to make". ④ The experience starts. Slowly and carefully stretch the clay vertically. ⑤ Once the clay is firmly stretched thinly, you can freely create any shape you like. (The experience time is approximately 20 minutes) ⑥ Please feel free to ask us to take photos with your smartphone during the experience. ⑦ Your work will be carefully fired by the craftsmen of Zuikogama and delivered to you in one and a half to two months.
