Description

Meet at Chofu Station or Shindai Fureai no Sato and cycle to six spots along the Nogawa River on an electric bicycle (with front and rear child seats, and children's bicycles available in various sizes). This two-hour tour is fully enjoyable. In the first half, you'll fish for carp and catfish using bread. Even children can easily catch fish, but the average size is around 60cm, so you may not be able to reel them in. The pull is strong, so please try your best to reel them in. In the second half, if the fishing conditions aren't ideal, you'll experience scouring the river in waders (free rubber boots) or marine shoes. The main creatures you can catch are Japanese mitten crab, Japanese carp, Japanese minnow, Japanese rhubarb, Yoshinobori, loach, Ukigoi, black killifish, crayfish, and turtles. You can also take some home. What to bring: Marine shoes (from the end of March to October), swimsuit, spats, rash guard, change of clothes, hat, drink, sneakers, plastic case for taking things home + bubble wrap (can be sold on-site) What to bring: Rain boots (from November to mid-March), fishing equipment, bait, rain boots, net, storage bucket, explanation panel for the creatures We look forward to your participation. Nogawa Nature School Sonoda (Tosshi) PS: Generally, there is a minimum number of people of 5 or more to hold the event.
