Nature Experience Rokko-Shidare Observatory

Overview

Rokko-Shidare is a mountain-top observatory that combines views, art and nature. Standing on the top of Mt Rokko, it looks like a large tree and shows different faces from the outside and the inside. It is one of the sightseeing spots you should visit at least once if you come to Mt Rokko.

The panoramic view from an altitude of approximately 880 m extends from Awaji Island to the Osaka Plain and Kansai International Airport, and at night it transforms into a "$10 million night view".

Due to vehicle renewal work, the Rokko Cable Car will be suspended from early January to early April 2026 (tentative). A replacement bus will be operated during the suspension of the cable car.
