What to Bring

Clothing/Belongings: We recommend that you wear boots or trekking shoes that are deep enough to cover your ankles. Shoes with narrow heels, such as high heels, are not allowed. Waterproof gloves and a neck warmer are helpful. It is better to wear sunglasses on sunny days.

Rental goods: We rent snowshoes for free.

Description

Walk through the virgin forest on snowshoes to view the cliffs that stretch all the way to Cape Shiretoko. You can see waterfalls flowing into the Sea of Okhotsk, giant icicles, and, depending on the season, drifting ice. You can mainly observe Ezo deer and wild birds. You may also spot eagles, woodpeckers, and flying squirrels, which are designated as natural monuments. In the event of a blizzard or other bad weather, we will contact you via your mobile device and, if you wish, we will cancel the tour or reschedule it for a later date when the weather improves. This tour is intended for people between the ages of 7 and 69 who do not require walking sticks or poles.
