What to Bring

Clothing/Belongings: Please come in a swimsuit (waders over casual clothes after October) and marine shoes. For customers who take it home, please prepare a plastic case. The fish will need to be bubbly.

Rental goods: We will prepare all the tools such as nets, cases, work gloves for children and adults, including waders, torso, stupid boots.

Description

This tour takes you to a tide pool in Kanagawa Prefecture, where you can observe shellfish, crabs, octopuses, sea urchins, sea slugs, fish, and hermit crabs. The tour takes place approximately two hours before and after low tide. The host will provide all necessary equipment, including waders, chest waders, rubber boots, nets, cases, and gloves for both children and adults. Please come in swimwear (waders over your regular clothes from October onwards) and marine shoes. What you should bring: marine shoes (from the end of March to October), swimwear, rash guard, leggings, drinks, hat, backpack, plastic case for taking your finds home + aerator (battery-operated oxygen pump). What we will provide: rubber boots (from November to mid-March), net, storage bucket. Schedule for the day: Please come to the designated point by Keihin Kyuko Line + bus or car. We will meet two hours before low tide, explain safety precautions, then enjoy exploring the tide pools, and finally hold a briefing on marine life. Please bring a plastic case if you wish to take your finds home. Fish will need an aerator. The start time will vary depending on the low tide, so please be sure to check before coming to the meeting place. We look forward to your participation.
