Description

Introducing “The Show,” an energetic and historical samurai show in Tokyo’s new Edo Culture Complex!

This action-packed show tells the story of Taira no Masakado, a legendary samurai warlord with a vengeful spirit who is deified at this very shrine, Kanda Myojin.

The non-verbal performance is accessible regardless of language, and introduces a piece of Japanese history through action, dance, and the expressive performers — all supported by modern theater technologies where old meets new.

Relax in the spacious theater space with table seating, and order a-la-cart from a menu of popular Japanese dishes like “takoyaki” and “kara-age.” All tickets include either one drink, or an all-you-can drink option, to make a real party out of it!

The venue, EDOCCO Edo Culture Complex is a four-story venue on the grounds of Kanda Myojin, built to commemorate the shrine’s 1,300-year anniversary, with a theme of “Tradition x Innovation.” When you visit for the Tokyo samurai show, be sure you’ll have time to browse the rest of EDOCCO, and look around the beautiful shrine complex that surrounds it!
