What to Bring

Clothing/Belongings: Gloves, hat, and other warm clothing *This is mainly observation, so there will not be much walking. Please come dressed warmly. (In winter, Oku-Nikko often has temperatures below zero even during the day.) *From December onwards, there is a possibility of snowfall. Please be sure to bring snow boots or other cold-weather clothing for your feet.

Description

Why not spend some free time during your trip observing the world of birds? A local guide will show you how to use binoculars (free rental) and provide observation tips. This is an easy opportunity for anyone who wants to start bird watching to participate. After learning how to use the binoculars, you will enjoy bird watching while taking a leisurely walk through the parklands of Lake Yunoko and the Yumoto Onsen area. *The walk will cover approximately 3km within the Yumoto Onsen area. *The location may change to Senjogahara or other locations depending on the migratory bird situation and weather. *Explanations about the development of nature in Oku-Nikko will also be provided at various points. *The tour may be canceled in the event of bad weather.
