Description

You can experience the basics of Kamakura carving, which originated from Buddhist altar implements and tea ceremony utensils from the Kamakura to Muromachi periods, and lacquer art, as well as the techniques of a craftsman. The carving classes at the hidden lacquer workshop "Seijyuan" are small classes, so you can receive instruction at your own pace and at a level that suits you. Why not try your hand at authentic carving and lacquering under the guidance of a traditional Kamakura carving craftsman?
