Description

The Tenryu River Japanese boat ride takes 35 minutes and travels about 6 km from Riverport Benten to Riverport Tokimata. Meet at Riverport Tokimata. After checking in, move to Riverport Benten by minibus to the boarding point. The boatman will guide you through the Japanese boat experience (the history of boat transport, shipbuilding techniques, and navigation techniques). After listening to safety instructions (how to use self-inflating life jackets and other precautions), put on the life jacket and board the boat. In the rapids, including the valley of Garyukyo Prefectural Park, you will be asked to raise a plastic sheet to protect yourself from splashes.
