Overview
Exhibition of Around 80 Masterpieces by Artists Such as Monet and Renoir
Opened in 1983 in Hachioji, Tokyo, the Tokyo Fuji Art Museum houses approximately 30,000 works, including paintings, prints, sculptures, photographs, and ceramics.
Its Western painting collection, in particular, spans from 16th-century Italian Renaissance to 20th-century modern art, boasting one of the most comprehensive collections in Japan.
This exhibition features over 80 selected masterpieces from the museum’s collection. In addition to Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, and Chagall, works by old masters such as Tintoretto and Van Dyck are on display, allowing visitors to enjoy 400 years of Western painting history, from mythological and religious scenes to innovations in modern artistic expression.
